[She drops the high and mighty tone with a swipe to her bangs.] Anyway, never had a guy like that chase me around before. The portable volcano thing's kinda new.

[A bat flaps tiredly down the alley before settling on Vanellope's shoulder.]

[She sits herself down on a discarded box with an exaggerated sigh, which transitions smoothly into a hesitant smile. It won't be long before the Numel spotted her again, forcing her to move all throughout Goldenrod City, but she had the time for one more important question.]

Well how come you would treat him like garbage, then, if he was yours? You're not even giving it a second thought!

Firstly, you can't even differentiate between 'bullying' and 'disciplining'. Disciplining isn't bullying, it's teaching them to know their place! I do that to my Pokémon; they're so well-behaved to me, they won't get even an inch in my way.

You're talkin' yelling and forcing him to do things! Maybe some of the stuff he does is bad, but it's still what he wants to do. I'm not gonna make him stop by shouting at him.

[She eyes up the other girl.]

Yelling and forcing is such a crude way to say it! We're teaching them to follow orders- like they rightfully should, since they're our Pokémon.

If they're afraid of me, then, obviously they give me more trouble than they're worth. [As for the last one, she kind of just smirks a bit.]

And do you really think that's possible? To be kind to them, and expect them all to repay in turn... it might be working now, but what when someone else shows up? Bigger treats, better smile, larger pockets? Unless you teach them discipline and let them know that they belong to you, they'll easily be led astray by even the stupidest of bribes!

They are animals, after all.
