First Lap. [video/action for goldenrod city.]

[The feed turns on to Vanellope checking over her shoulder to the opening in an alley. When all seems clear, she looks back to the screen with a growing grin.]

What's a girl gotta do to get some space around here, jeez. I know, I know. What's not to love about someone as utterly adorable as me? I should be used to the admirers competing for my attention. [She drops the high and mighty tone with a swipe to her bangs.] Anyway, never had a guy like that chase me around before. The portable volcano thing's kinda new.

[A bat flaps tiredly down the alley before settling on Vanellope's shoulder.]

Not even Boogie likes 'im, and she likes everybody. So how do I get Volcano Guy to cool it for a while, huh? C'mon, don't be shy, these ears are open to suggestions. Even if they practically talked the things off before... Yeesh.

[She sits herself down on a discarded box with an exaggerated sigh, which transitions smoothly into a hesitant smile. It won't be long before the Numel spotted her again, forcing her to move all throughout Goldenrod City, but she had the time for one more important question.]

Hey Stinkbrain, you still around?

Firstly, you can't even differentiate between 'bullying' and 'disciplining'. Disciplining isn't bullying, it's teaching them to know their place! I do that to my Pokémon; they're so well-behaved to me, they won't get even an inch in my way.

How old are you?

[Her tone pushes her out of 'completely immature' range, and how she carries herself, too. Still...] Because I don't think you understand the concept of discipline at all. Yelling and forcing is such a crude way to say it! We're teaching them to follow orders- like they rightfully should, since they're our Pokémon.

If they're afraid of me, then, obviously they give me more trouble than they're worth. [As for the last one, she kind of just smirks a bit.]

[Don't worry, Saionji actually believes her.] Sixteen, turning seventeen.

And do you really think that's possible? To be kind to them, and expect them all to repay in turn... it might be working now, but what when someone else shows up? Bigger treats, better smile, larger pockets? Unless you teach them discipline and let them know that they belong to you, they'll easily be led astray by even the stupidest of bribes!

They are animals, after all.
